CROWNE PLAZA SANTRY

CROWNE PLAZA SANTRY

As the original architect & interior designer, we first started working on this 4-star airport hotel (209no. bedrooms & 22no. meeting rooms), in 2002 before it opened in 2003.  Inspired by Thomas Hardy’s book ‘The Woodlanders’ and the calm setting of the hotel within Northwood Park, we thought as an airpot hotel it should provide solace and serve as a resting place for the weary traveller.  In 2014 we returned to complete a soft refurbishment, creating bright and light bedroom spaces, set against backdrops of misty morning woodlands and striking foliage patterns.  The use of literature and typography have a strong influence on many of our designs throughout the hotel, featuring the writings of William Yeats & Brian Friel.
